- A Country Cottage Getaway in Sussex, England -

Cooking and eating ...

Big enough for informal dining, the kitchen is always the hub of a house. Fill the fridge with lovely food from the Delicatessen next door, cook for yourself with food bought at the local weekly market, or take it easy and enjoy the excellent Thai cuisine or pub food available in the village.

... and so to sleep ...

When it comes to sleep, the four bedrooms are furnished comfortably. Beds are firm to medium-firm and are made up with Egyptian cotton linen to ensure a good night's rest. One room has a king size bed and a romantic touch. This room has dual aspect overlooking both the village green and the garden. Another room has twin beds in a cool grey style. The two other bedrooms are good sized singles.  All bedrooms overlook the village green.

Baths & showers ...

One shower room with a fabulously large shower with a seat for those less able, and one bathroom if you prefer to soak away the day.

The garden room ...

Is it in, is it out?  Walking up the stairs from the hall then up a few steps more, this room opens onto the garden via four steps. Either sit and watch the resident robin flitting from branch to patio or the pair of wood pigeons that always visit the lawn, or venture out and wander round the garden.  No TV here when there's so much to enjoy.

The garden ...

Terraced on several levels with steps between, the main level is laid to lawn while there are several patio areas.  Rockery walled flower beds with roses and fuchsias make this a garden to explore.  But mind the steps.  A garden table and other seating make the garden a place to gather and a place to relax.
